Recycling in Thurston

A purpose-built community recycling facility is located at the New Green Centre for residents to recycle glass, textiles, shoes and paper.

It is open 7 days a week (with the exception of Christmas Day and New Years Day), 9am - 5pm April to September and 9am to 4pm October to March.

General Information on the collection of waste

Household general rubbish (refuse) and recycling is collected on an alternate week schedule every Friday.  This means your refuse will be collected one week and your recycling the next.

Garden waste is collected fortnightly, however this is a subscription service.
