    Jul. 6 - Sep. 30, 2020

    Cartoon depicting coronavirusesThings are slowly returning to normal and some events and activities have resumed in the village, with more events planned for the future. Social distancing rules will apply. The situation is fast-changing, and further announcements by the Government are likely to take place in the coming days and weeks.  In the event of an increase in Covid-19 cases in the local area, restrictions will be re-imposed, sometimes at short notice. You are advised to check with event organisers before attending.

  • WW (Weightwatchers Reimagined)

  • Bury Soft Play

    Tue, Aug. 11, 2020

    Bury Soft Play is back at New Green but not as you know it. The hall will be split into two separate soft play fun zones for up to eight children. You and your family or group will have exclusive use of the zone you have booked for 75 minutes. To comply with government regulations on Covid-19, there will be no ball ponds or other high-risk (hard to clean) toy equipment. Hand sanitiser will be available and must be used before entering the hall.

  • Knit and Natter - Thurston Knitters & Crocheters

    Tue, Aug. 11, 2020 10:00am

    Cartoon of girl knitting with black cat sitting on the sofaUnfortunately we can’t meet at Thurst as a group!  Each Tuesday morning at 10:00 am there will be a FaceTime meeting so we can still meet, albeit via the computer, tablet or phone as we need to make sure we are all ok and give each other encouragement and company in this very trying time.

  • Extend - Gentle Exercise for Older People and Disabled Adults

    Are you over 50 or living with a disability that stops you doing strenuous exercise? Extend offers gentle exercise classes to music to improve balance, suppleness and strength. Classes take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Social distancing measures will apply. Please contact the organiser before attending as numbers may be limited.

  • Barton Road Running Club - New Group!

    Drawing depicting man and woman runningWe are two guys with a passion for sport who have set up a new 'social' running club which meets on Friday evenings at the Fox and Hounds. There are set 3 kilometre and 5 kilometre routes. All abilities welcome: no need to worry about times/competition!

  • Summer Camp Circus - for Children Aged 5 to 14

    Aug. 19 - 21, 2020 9:00am — 4:00pm
