Suffolk Highways are planning to carry out carriageway patching works on Barton Road, Thurston and Thurston Road, Great Barton in the period between the 26 and 29 May 2020. This will require a temporary road closure so that we can carry out our works safely. Traffic cones may also be placed to prevent on-street parking so our work site is unobstructed.

For your information, SCC are planning to carry out vegetation works to a large oak tree on Station Hill, Thurston on the 1 May 2020, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm This will require a temporary road closure (from Wheatfields to Laurel Close) so that they can carry out our works safely. Traffic cones may also be placed to prevent on-street parking so their work site is unobstructed.
Suffolk County Council are planning to carry out road resurfacing works on Furze Close, Heather Close and Genesta Drive, Thurston in the period between the 11 and 18 May 2020 (excluding the weekend) during the hours of 9am and 4.30pm. They estimate that the works will take approximately 3 days to complete. This will require a temporary road closure so that we can carry out our works safely. Traffic cones may also be placed to prevent on-street parking so our work site is unobstructed.
Essential resurfacing works at the above location are due to be carried out which will also include the renewing of faded road markings.
