If you are worried about the cost of living crisis there are a number of places you can get support and advice.  Below are links to help access the most recent advice and guidance on offer:


PRIORITY SERVICES REGISTER - The Priority Services Register is a free support service that makes sure extra help is available to people in vulnerable situations.

SUFFOLK INFOLINK - Suffolk Infolink Directory offers a wide range of help.

CITIZENS ADVICE - for information regarding immediate help with bills or shopping, Citizens Advice can help.  They can also provide information regarding help with the HealthyStart Scheme, School costs and Travel costs.

GOVERNMENT COST OF LIVING SUPPORT - help with the cost of living, HM Government announced support packages. www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment.

HELP FOR HOUSEHOLDS - includes information on support that you may be eligible for including childcare costs, transport costs and finding work.

ENERGY BILLS SUPPORT SCHEME - As of 29th July 2022, HM Government have announced how the Energy Bills Support Scheme will work. The scheme aims to help ease the effect of rising energy prices with all households receiving a £400 discount on their bills. The BBC have also put together this helpful guide to explain when and how the payments will be made.

TURN2US - an independent charity whose aim is to fight UK poverty. Help, advice and support on a range of topics from back to school support to facing redundancy.

Warm Homes Suffolk 

Help for Suffolk residents to live in homes that cost less to heat.  Grants to help insulate and improve energy efficiency are available to home owners or private tenants in properties without gas central heating and with a total gross income (from all sources) of everyone in the property of under £30,000
