Winter Warmth Support

For winter 2024/25 and spring 2025, £45,000 in funding has been allocated to expand the provision of winter warmth packs. These essential packs are a lifeline for vulnerable residents, particularly those affected by reductions in winter fuel payments.

This year, the initiative will prioritize individuals over 65, with at least £17,000 directed toward their needs. However, the Warm Homes Healthy People (WHHP) recognises the broader demand for support and will extend assistance to others in need as well. Referrals for the winter warmth packs are being coordinated by partner organizations across Suffolk, including community groups, food banks, healthcare teams, GP surgeries, and hospitals.
