Speed Limit Changes in Thurston

The Parish Council would like to remind all residents that as a result of the increased residential development in the village, there are changes to the speed limits for the following areas:

  1. Church Road – extension of the 30mph speed limit on Church Road up to the Pakenham Road/Norton Road crossroads with an extension to a point of 30metres north of the junction with Norton Road along Pakenham Road.
  2. Norton Road – extension of the 30mph to a point 226metres east of the junction with Church Road/Pakenham Road.
  3. Barton Road – extension of the 30mph speed limit on Barton Road to a point 200metres north of the junction with Mill Lane.
  4. Ixworth Road – extension of the 30mph speed limit on Ixworth Road to a point 790 meters north of the junction with Norton Road

All of the above speed limit changes are now in effect (09.07.2021).

Maps of the affected areas are shown below with copies of the Sealed Order available to view at the Parish Council Office between the hours of 10.30am and 3.30pm on a Wednesday and Friday.
