Thermal Imaging Camera Project.
Thurston Parish Council are again working with Suffolk Climate Change Partnership to access the camera and carry out thermal imaging of residents homes.
This successful project has helped many households over the last couple of years to identify where any heat loss was occurring from their home enabling them to address the issues and subsequently save on their heating costs.
The camera can be used to scan a home to identify potential areas where excessive heat loss is occurring, to help pinpoint the need for additional insulation in walls or draught proofing around windows and doors.
If enough residents utilise this information, it can enable bulk purchasing of materials such as loft insulation. This means you could have access to lower prices on products that will help keep your home warm.
