A14 westbound junction 47 to 46 - resurfacing 13-15 January

National Highways are planning to carry out road surface repair work on the A14 westbound junction 47 to 46. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother road surface.

They plan to complete this work over two nights on Monday 13 January and Wednesday 15 January 2025. They will work overnight between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, they will need to close the A14 westbound between junction 47 to 46 and divert traffic as follows:

  • Exit at junction 47.
  • At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A1088.
  • At the Woolpit Interchange, take the first exit to stay on the A1088.
  • Take the first left turn onto Norton Road heading south, passing Tostock Animal Parks.
  • At the T-junction, turn right onto The Street and merge onto the A14 where the diversion ends.
