Due to the many individual queries to Suffolk County Council's dedicated Refugee Support email address, and given that they do not have capacity to reply to everyone individually, they have put together this generic information to update residents as much as they can about the response to the Ukraine refugee crisis. Please continue to refer to the government frequently asked questions page Homes for Ukraine scheme: frequently asked questions - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) as this is being updated regularly.
Message from the Chair of Thurston Parish Council, Councillor Christopher Dashper
"On behalf of Thurston Parish Council and all residents of the parish of Thurston, I would like to offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to the members of the Royal Family following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty the Queen was much loved and widely respected by the people of Britain and the Commonwealth and throughout the world.
She will be sorely missed, but the memory of her selfless dedication to duty and loyalty to her family and country will remain with us and will form an example in the years to come.
Many residents will want to remember and recognise the service of our longest reigning monarch and books of condolence will be established accordingly and advice provided on floral tributes"
