Calling all parents of primary schoolchildren. The Summer Reading Challenge is back!
Annual promotion by the Reading Agency to encourage children to read over the long summer holiday, while having fun.
For this year's challenge, the Reading Agency has partnered with the Science Museum group to create 'Gadgeteers, inspiring children to use their curiosity and creativity to discover the science behind the everyday and celebrate the role of the imagination in both reading and the sciences. Friendly librarians and volunteers will help your child find books and get them started on their reading adventure.
The Challenge involves reading six books over the summer holidays. If children complete the Challenge, they will be awarded a certificates and medal at a special ceremony in September.
Age range: | 4 to 11 yrs |
Challenge starts: | Wednesday 20 July |
