A national lockdown is currently in force in England from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December. All non-essential shops; leisure and community centres; and pubs, cafes and restaurants will be required by law to close. Some establishments will be offering a click-and-collect or takeaway service which is permitted under the latest Covid-19 legislation.
Benefice of Holy Innocents and St Peter's Church. There will no Sunday services for the duration of the lockdown. However funerals are permitted with a limited number of mourners. Outdoor acts of remembrance services due to take place on Sunday 8th November will go ahead as planned. Thurston Library. Government legislation states that public libraries may continue to provide essential services. This will be put in place from Monday 9th November onwards. It is uncertain at this time which services, if any, Thurston Library will be able to provide. However, browsing will not be permitted. More information will be available from Suffolk Libraries shortly.
