Things are slowly returning to normal and some events and activities have resumed in the village, with more events planned for the future. Social distancing rules will apply. The situation is fast-changing, and further announcements by the Government are likely to take place in the coming weeks and months. In the event of an increase in Covid-19 cases in the local area, restrictions will be re-imposed, sometimes at short notice. You are advised to check with event organisers before attending.
Services have resumed at Holy Innocents and St Peter's Church. If you wish to attend, you must book in advance - please contact Rev'd Manette (email@example.com). Please note, social distancing measures will apply. Face masks must be worn (unless you have a health condition that makes it difficult for you to wear one). Hand sanitiser will be provided. There will be no gatherings where food or drink are served, including coffee after services, and any planned future events have been postponed. For more information, see the latest pew sheet which provides news and updates relating to the Benefice.
Cavendish Hall is closed. The committee anticipates re-opening from 1st September 2020, subject to Government guidelines.
Thurston Library is open for borrowing and returns only. Please note, you will not be able to go into the library. If you would like to borrow any books or other library materials, speak to staff at the desk at the library entrance. You can request items in advance of your visit: for more details of this service, see the Suffolk Libraries Covid-19 web page. There are currently no events taking place in the library.
Some groups and organisations that meet in New Green Centre have resumed face-to-face meetings. Social distancing measures will apply.
The coronavirus situation is fast-moving and there is an increasing amount of misinformation online. Please use government advice to inform decisions and be checking that advice regularly.
